Dalia Anani is a Palestinian-American multimedia artist, who received her undergraduate degree from UC Santa Cruz and now lives and works in Oakland.

Anani makes work about identity specifically focusing on the “other,” the exploration of her heritage, and the Palestinian American Diaspora in post 9/11 America , using craft and folk art traditions.  She has taught at UCSC and also assists artists, Annie Sprinkle and Elizabeth Stephens in their studio.

There will be a reception for her installation, “Museum of Social Extinction Presents: Skull of a Camel Jockey” on First Friday, February 4th from 7-10 at 4707 Telegraph.
